Why It’s More Fun in Quezon Province?

Short Distance

Quezon is one of Manila’s gateway provinces. Just a two hour drive from the airport, Quezon is a place where you’ll experience a peaceful and vibrant provincial life rooted in rich spirituality and culture. The upcoming TR4 Highway Project will further shorten the travel time to 90 minutes.

Place in History

In September 7, 1946, by virtue of Republic Act No. 14, then President Manuel A. Roxas renamed the province Baler to Quezon, in honor of the late President Manuel L. Quezon, the most illustrious son of Baler, formerly part of Quezon.

"The Province of Quezon boasts of centuries-old infrastructure, meaningful and joyful festivals, and is also home to many natural tourist spots, which can surely attract both local and foreign visitors.” –Senator Loren Legarda

Celebrated in Lucban every 15th of May, Pahiyas Festival brings out the vibrant vibe of Quezon Province. Houses are decorated with fruits, vegetables, and kiping – colorful leaf-shaped rice wafers strung together – as a way of giving thanks to San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers.
